Now I pretty much hang out on this nice perch my human prepared for me. It is the highest point in the room that I have access to, even higher than my computer monitor. I was rather hesitant to use it at first, but my human built me a rope covered ramp so I could easily get up and down. The ramp also provides me with some exercise during the day. My two heat lamps, UVB lighting, and digital thermometer are all up there too! My lights are on a timer from 6AM until 8PM, so I can be sure to get plenty of sleep at night. My human will be building me a heating pad "box" under my perch before winter time to make sure I am comfortable at night during those months. He mentioned that the heating pad will be on a different timer from 8PM until 6AM. I spend lots of time up on this perch because it is soooooo comfortable and warm, and there is a nice view out the window. It also gives me the PERFECT vantage point to "spy" on my human (second only to my computer monitor).
